Michael Meier & Christoph Franz beschäftigen sich in der Arbeit «Armor Layer» mit dem Gestaltungsdrang des Menschen. Der Fluss dient ihnen dabei als Archetyp. In einer Flusslandschaft ist anschaulich erkennbar, welche Auswirkungen Eingriffe auf ein komplexes Gefüge haben. Flüsse zählen zu den am stärksten regulierten Ökosystemen der Erde. Es ist die Beschäftigung mit den Auswirkungen von Eingriffen in ein Gleichgewicht. Welchen Einfluss hat der Kanderdurchstich in der Schweiz auf die Deiche in den Niederlanden? Oder anders gefragt, was verbindet einen Kraftwerk in der Aare mit einem Wellenbrecher an der Nordseeküste und den Landgewinnungen in Dubai?
